NYRR Run as One 4M (2019 Race Recap)

Over the weekend I ran the NYRR Run as One 4 miler, and this one was especially fun. (Insert sarcasm here). In all of the years this race has been running, this Saturday’s was the first time it rained. And I’m not talking sprinkles! It poured. Call it what you want, but I am not a fan of running in the cold, rain, or snow. Okay, maybe I could tolerate some rain if it was warm….. But wet socks are the worst! Anyhow, I had it set in my mind that I wasn’t doing the race until the night…

Back on The Pavement: NYRR Fred Lebow Cross Country 5K Recap

Exactly two weeks after the TCS New York City Marathon, I returned to the pavement. I got a nice long workout in during this past week which was 1000yd swim, 10min bike and about half a mile run on the track (so I don’t count that, hehe).  Yesterday I completed the Fred Lebow Cross Country Championships 5K out in Van Courtlandt Park in the Bronx. I had never done a CC race prior to this, so it was a new experience. I also hadn’t run in Van Courtlandt Park prior to this race, so I didn’t know what to expect. 1000yd swim, quick bike & run for me today…. Tri…
